Amazon fire tv cube wont download apps

I assumed it was because I was using the Wolf launcher and did a reset. That fixed it for me. Good news the recovery feature makes it a lot less painful to do that. It was back today,so since it obviously was not about the Wolf launcher I added that back and have all my apps showing.

This has been happening on 2 of my 3 Cubes for about two weeks now. It comes and goes sometimes it last an hour sometimes a day. Not much can be done except wait it out. I had the same issue so I contacted amazon tech and he took control of my fire stick and changed my amazon. I factory reset. Has not comeback.

Was only a problem with Sideloaded apps. All reinstalled has not comeback. Is there a way to wipe cache partition via adb and then perform factory reset. Have a Fire TV that continuously is failing to update. I did need to restart the 4K stick.

It keeps telling me to remove apps from my firestick to make room for updates. Yeah it sucks the only way to fix it is to start from scratch. Make any changes necessary and troubleshoot again.

For this guide, I am assuming you are trying to install apps on Fire TV Stick from its app store and not sideloading them. The first thing you want to do whenever a Fire TV Stick is not installing an app is to check if your device is connected to the internet.

In addition to not being able to install new apps, if other previously-installed apps are also not opening despite being connected to Wi-Fi, then the issue is most likely network-related. If there's a 'Connected with problems' message at the bottom-right corner of the page, that means the Wi-Fi network has no internet access.

We have a detailed guide on fixing Fire TV Stick network-related issues ; you should check it out. If everything is fine with your Wi-Fi network, but the Fire TV Stick is still not downloading apps, check other fixes below. This is another basic solution to fix a Fire TV Stick that won't download apps. Step 3: Select Restart to confirm the action. Your Fire TV Stick will turn off and immediately reboot on after some seconds. This involves unplugging your Fire TV Stick's adapter from the power sources and plugging in back in.

You can use the remote shortcut to quickly restart Fire TV Stick. Another possibility is that you do not have internet connection or you have a poor connection. If this has been the case from the time you got your Fire TV, it may be that your modem or router is too far away. Try moving it closer or connecting via Ethernet cable to see if this fixes the issue. Before you consider this, try connecting to a phone hotspot to see if it makes any difference.

If so, you know that it is most likely the signal from the modem. You can test your Fire TVs network connection in the Settings. Unplug all of these from the wall, wait one minute and then plug them all back in to reconnect. A VPN is a tool that allows you to change the IP address of your device so that it can appear to be in a different country.

This is sometimes used to access region-specific apps, such as accessing American TV shows from the UK. If you have a VPN activated, you may also be set to a region that does not have the update yet.

In that case, turn the VPN off or set to a different country to see if that allows you to download the update. If all else fails, it is likely that the Amazon servers are down. This issue usually takes one or two days for them to rectify, so it might just be a waiting game to update your Fire Cube. You can always call the Amazon Support network to see whether this is the case. If your Fire TV Cube has been installing an update, but appears to freeze before it can finish, there may be a different problem.
